The Alliance Defense Fund was incorporated in 1994 by over 50 Christian leaders and lawyers seeking to provide pro bono assistance and representation to churches, Christian colleges, mission organizations, and parachurch ministries facing legal challenges brought on the grounds of the First Amendment.
